Sensing the invisible threats in every breath
VOC AQ brings Airgloss MultiSense technology to North America. First developed to protect astronauts aboard the International Space Station, the ProSense monitor measures ten indoor air parameters in real time and adjusts ventilation to what is actually in the air.
Technology born in space, proven on Earth
The sensor at the heart of ProSense began as an "electronic nose" built to watch over the air astronauts breathe on the space station, where there is no opening a window. Airgloss adapted that technology for buildings on the ground.
VOC AQ is Airgloss's official and exclusive partner in North America. We supply, support and help integrate MultiSense monitors for commercial buildings, public facilities, schools, data centers and energy-efficiency projects.
One sensing platform, three ways to deploy it
Every product in the family is built on Airgloss MultiSense technology. Choose by where you need to measure: occupied rooms, the air outside, or inside ducts, plant rooms and production areas.
Wall-mounted indoor monitor. Ten readings, AI-based compound recognition, and direct control of heating, cooling and ventilation.
Weatherproof monitor for multiple gases and particulate matter, for site perimeters and for checking the air before it comes inside.
All-metal probe with a DIN-rail controller and two relays. Measures particulates, gases and climate in ducts, plant rooms and production areas.
One device that sees the whole room
VOCs, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, methane, temperature, humidity, noise and air pressure, plus an overall air quality index.
A MEMS sensor array tells similar compounds apart with on-board AI, keeps cross-sensitivity low and corrects for drift automatically.
ProSense drives existing HVAC equipment based on occupancy and the pollutants it detects, so you ventilate when it matters and save energy when it doesn't.
BACnet MS/TP and Modbus over RS-485, plus Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Runs on standard 24 V AC or DC control power.
Readings and history on the web, iOS and Android, with green, yellow and red status that anyone can read at a glance.
Continuous air quality monitoring supports the indoor environment requirements of programs such as LEED, WELL and Fitwel.

The MultiSense family
Airgloss MultiSense monitors combine a multi-gas sensor array with AI to identify what is in the air, not just how much CO₂ is in it. Choose ProSense for occupied rooms, the Outdoor Monitor for the air around your buildings, and the Probe + Controller for ducts, air handlers and industrial sites.
ProSense
ProSense is a professional indoor air quality monitor for offices, schools, hotels, healthcare and public buildings. It identifies a wide range of airborne contaminants in real time and sends the data to your building management system, the Airgloss dashboard, or both.
With Smart DCV, ProSense controls existing heating, cooling and ventilation equipment based on room occupancy and a full picture of indoor air quality, not occupancy alone.

Mount at breathing height
Install on the wall 1.5–1.8 m (5–6 ft) above the floor, where occupants actually breathe.
Keep clear of drafts
Avoid entrances and fresh-air supply vents, which would read outdoor air instead of the room.
Plan for service
Sensor cartridges are replaceable, so a monitor can stay in service well beyond its first sensor set.

Outdoor Monitor
The Outdoor Monitor brings MultiSense gas sensing outside, together with particulate matter (PM) measurement, in a weatherproof housing for pole or wall mounting.
Use it on its own to monitor a site, campus or perimeter. Or pair it with ProSense to compare outdoor air with indoor air before bringing more of it into the building.

MultiSense Probe + Controller
A professional monitoring system for technical environments: HVAC installations, air handling units, machinery rooms, production areas, warehouses, laboratories and infrastructure sites, indoors or out.
The all-metal probe sits at the measurement point. The controller mounts on a DIN rail in the electrical cabinet, makes every reading available over Modbus RTU and drives two programmable relays, so it can switch ventilation or raise an alarm on its own.

Your air, on every screen
ProSense reports to the Airgloss platform. Facility teams see live readings and history on the web, and anyone can check a room from the iOS or Android app.
Color coding keeps it simple: green means the air is good, yellow means it needs attention, and red means limits are exceeded.

How we detect what others miss
Most air quality monitors use one sensor per gas. MultiSense uses an array of sensors read together by AI, the approach Airgloss first built for the space station.
A sensor array that recognizes compounds
Instead of separate single-compound sensors, ProSense combines a MEMS sensor array with pattern-recognition algorithms running on an embedded digital signal processor. Together they identify and tell apart many compounds, even when several similar ones are present at once.
CO₂ is measured separately with an optical NDIR sensor. The AI also compensates for sensor drift automatically, which keeps readings stable over time.
Ventilate for the air you have
Fixed ventilation runs the same whether a room is empty or full. Demand-controlled ventilation (DCV) adjusts airflow to need, which saves energy. Smart DCV goes a step further.
Standard DCV
- Tracks how many people are in the room through the CO₂ they exhale
- Misses pollutants that don't come from people
- Works well where occupancy changes often
Airgloss Smart DCV
- Accounts for occupants and for everything else in the air
- Handles emissions from building materials, furniture and cleaning products
- Controls existing heating, cooling and ventilation equipment directly

ProSense connects to the equipment you already have, from boilers and air conditioners to fans and air handlers, and adjusts it to real occupancy and real air quality. The result is better air where people are and less energy spent conditioning air nobody needs.
Indoor air is the air we breathe most
According to the U.S. EPA, Americans spend about 90% of their time indoors, where concentrations of some pollutants are often 2 to 5 times higher than outdoors. Poor indoor air has been linked to headaches, fatigue, reduced productivity and impaired learning.
Combustion
Furnaces, boilers, gas stoves, fireplaces and vehicle exhaust.
Cleaning products
Solvents, cleaners and air fresheners.
Building materials
Paints, resins, adhesives, insulation and pressed wood.
Mold and spores
Damp areas, water leaks and poor drainage.
Outdoor air
Traffic and industrial pollution drawn in through ventilation.

Proven where there is no fresh air outside
On the space station, the air supply is closed and every contaminant matters. That is where this technology started.
From orbit to your building
The technology was developed to monitor the health and safety of astronauts aboard the ISS. NASA's Kennedy Space Center and the Italian Space Agency sent the "electronic nose" to the station for testing.
The inventors founded Airgloss in Rome and adapted the technology into professional indoor air quality monitors for use on Earth.
ESA awarded Airgloss its Space Solutions trademark, which recognizes products and services built on space technology.
We have worked with Airgloss since 2014, bringing its space-derived sensing technology to customers in North America.
NASA's annual Spinoff publication, which highlights space technology put to use on Earth, featured the Airgloss "electronic nose."
Based in Nevada, VOC AQ is Airgloss's official and exclusive partner in North America, bringing the MultiSense family to customers across the United States and Canada.
